We understand that having great chalet staff is one of the most important factors of a great skiing holiday, so we take recruitment very seriously. We want people that join our friendly team to get the best training, feel appreciated and ultimately have a great time in the Alps.
The Paradiski Area
Whether youre a beginner or advanced skier or boarder, the Paradiski offers something for everyone 425kms of piste, 2 glaciers, 2 snowparks, boarder crosses, half-pipes, gentle tree-lined forest runs and challenging blacks, not to mention heaps of off-piste including the infamous North Face of Bellecote. And if thats not enough for you, your complimentary lift pass also gives you some days skiing in Espace Killy or the 3 Valleys.
Our chalets are both bang in the middle of the Paradiski at opposite ends of the Vanoise Express, the impressive cable car that links La Plagne and Les Arcs, meaning that you have easy and quick access to the whole area.
Our Chalets
Chalet Epicea in Les Coches, La Plagne, is a stunning building, accommodating up to 13 in 6 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms
Chalet Le Passeu, our luxurious, boutique chalet, is in Moulin in the Peisey Nancroix area of Les Arcs, has 6 fully ensuite bedrooms, and accommodates 12-16. We would normally have no more than 14 guests eating at the same time
Both Chalet Epicea in La Plagne and Chalet Le Passeu in Les Arcs are stunning, traditional buildings, which have been beautifully renovated, and weve kitted them out in contemporary, stylish furnishings to give them a modern but homely feel. Both chalets have huge lounge/dining areas with log fires and balconies, large kitchens to work in, and all the modcons youd ever want 42 TV with Sky TV inc Movies & Sport; Xbox360/Wii; free wifi plus use of the chalet laptops; well-stocked libraries and plenty of DVDs. Free parking at the chalet is also available.
Both chalets have good quality, private, ensuite accommodation for staff.
The Position
Were looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working couple with experience to run and manage each chalet. At least one of you will have worked as a chef/have a cooking diploma, and be able to cook to a high standard for up to 14 guests, six days of the week, throughout the season. We have a strong reputation for food and genuine personal service, and you will be expected to maintain, and improve it!
You will have an outgoing personality, be able to interact with guests of all ages and nationalities, be friendly, happy and smiling. You will also be conscientious and be able to work on your own initiative. You will need a passport, UK National Insurance Number, and one of you will be over the age of 21 (for car insurance purposes) and hold a drivers licence.
Duties include:
Offering warm hospitality and looking after guests during their stay
Creating a weekly menu to include breakfast with cooked option, afternoon tea with homemade cakes, and a 4-course evening meal 6 days a week (including cheese course).
Preparing, laying out, plating up and clearing of all meals
Daily cleaning and tidying of the chalet (making beds, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen and any shared space in the chalet)
Weekly cleaning of chalet on change-over day, preparing for the arrival of new guests
Weekly stock-take and shopping for food according to a budget
Maintaining and observing all hygiene, health and safety standards
Clearing snow and ice from steps, paths and parking spots
Preparing kindling and laying and lighting fires most evenings
Occasional driving of guests in company courtesy 4x4 to and from ski lifts

5% commission on any staff-generated bookings
